Abstract Aryl-14H-dibenzo[a,i]xanthenes were synthesized efficiently by one-pot reaction of b-naphthol, aldehydes and 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone in the presence of sulfonic acid functionalized silica at 110 ºC without solvent. All products were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, MS techniques and elemental analysis. |
