Studies on Formation Constants of Copper Chelates of Some Substituted Benzenesulphonamidomethyl Benzimidazoles

Abstract

The formation constants of Cu(II) complexes with some substituted benzenesulphonamidomethyl benzimidazoles have been investigated by potentiometric study. The values of successive formation constants (log K1 and log K2) of the metal chelates and two acid dissociation constants (pK2H and pK1H) of RH2+ are reported in water-acetone (1: 1) at 32 ± 0.5º at constant ionic strength (μ ═ 0.1).
